CR MacLellan was born in Baltimore, Maryland in 1947.

He began drawing seriously while still in Elementary School and later took courses at the Maryland Institute of Art and Syracuse University.

A one – time artist member of the Baltimore Watercolor Society, his love of that medium is reflected in his paintings of the American West. He has most recently experimented with Acrylic and Oils on canvas in his renderings of the flora and fauna near Clear Creek County, Colorado, where he resides.

CR MacLellan currently has work displayed at the Art Gallery in Empire, CO. the HGTV Dream Home in Winter Park, CO and numerous public & private collections.
